memory like I thought she was doing to no avail. Years
later I realized if I wanted to draw horses my mother
could have bought me the same how to draw horses book
told me to practice, and I might have been able to
learn to see and draw horses creatively. What she had
learned was a shortcut technique to see and remember

Just to prove a point I bought a series of how to draw books showed the kids how to draw a very simple insect, before long most of the students could draw the more complicated ones'
